St. Louis Microsoft Holiday Store Website

In less than 48 hours on 10/26 our local Microsoft Holiday store will be selling Surface tablets. Via an online ad on one of our local news sites I came across the Microsoft Store web page specific to the St. Louis store.

At a glance the site reminds you of:

  • Location: Lower Level of the Saint Louis Galleria, in the Garden Court, in front of J. Crew.
  • Store Hours: Mon – Sat: 10 AM – 9PM; Sun: 11 AM – 6 PM
  • The first 100 people in line when doors open on the 26th receive a year’s XBOX Music Pass

I hope to stop by in the afternoon/ evening on the 26th to check out the action and perhaps grab a few accessories for my pre-ordered Surface and of course snap some pictures. I stopped by last week and snapped  a few photos. Check them out below.

Will you be there? Sound off in the comments.

Nokia wireless charging for legacy devices?

In a post hidden in the sidebar on CNET titled “Nokia CEO Stephen Elop: We’ll spend to break through (Q&A)” there was a picture of an accessory I had not seen before. The device looks like a mint LifeSaver candy with a micro USB plug on its side. The caption states “The wireless charging dongle, connected to a Lumia 900, powers the phone from Nokia’s charging pad”. Obviously this is a way to expand the Qi based charging accessories to more than just the Apollo hardware. I’m sure this isn’t specific to working with Lumia devices but it’s again nice to see Nokia “extend” the life of the current gen devices with accessories such as this.

St. Louis Galleria Microsoft Pop Up Store Appears

WPCentral has just posted some pictures of the new Microsoft “pop up” store in the St. Louis Galleria. This will supposedly be the only place to pick up a Surface RT tablet come October 26. Until we get a chance to check it out ourselves we’ll have to guess about how it will be stocked and manned, but it’s exciting to see it coming together none the less.

Check out the WPCentral post here.
